Journee

Journee is a company that plans a trip for you from the flights and accomodations to the excursions. The difference between Journee and other companies, is that the whole trip is a surprise. To book a trip, you first take a quiz in which they ask for dates, budget, places youve been and/or dont want to go, and how you like to spend your vacations. After you fill this out, they will then send you a proposal for said trip. If you like the proposal, you submit the deposit and then they will start booking everything for you. As the time gets closer, they will send you clues to see if you can guess where you are going. Around 2 weeks before your trip, you’ll recieve a package with the reveal postcard, the itneirary for the week, and a travel guide. As much as you would like to open the reveal postcard when you get it, its best to open it at the airport.

For those wondering what to pack, about 3 weeks prior to the trip, they will send you a packing list and then beginning 2 weeks before you would be able to see the weather for the time of your trip. The weather does get updated daily, which is very helpful.

As someone who travels frequently, having one trip that I do not have to plan at all, is very nice. All I am responsible is what I will be eating on the trip and getting to/from the airport from home and when I land at my destination, which to me are the easiest parts.

For those wondering how much this trip cost, I believe as a solo traveler the minmum budget it $3,450 from the US. For both trips I booked with them, I believe that I spent around that for each trip. This price does include flights, accomadations, excursions, and any travel in between locations if there are mutliple places. I am not sure what the price would be with a couple or some friends but whatever it is, I believe its worth it.

Booking with Journee is such a great experience because I feel like they book a place you probably wouldn’t think about and excursions you wouldn’t do if you were to book the trip yourself.
