Hi all,

This Euro vacation was a cousins trip, I went with two of my cousins to a couple places. Naples, Italy was our first stop. In Naples, we stayed at the Di Palma Suite. The hotel was in a larger building with other businesses. The hotel was on the third floor, you could use the stairs or the elevator. The elevator was small, so a few trios were needed. The way the rooms were set up was also different from a regular hotel. They had some rooms that had to be entered by going thru the main area and then a few that were right next door with their own entrance. The room was a decent size for 3 people, it was a double bed and a twin bed with storage area and a good size bathroom. The hotel was also in the Lungomare Caracciolo area which is a waterfront promenade with many restaurants. We were also a 15 min walk to Via Toledo a large historic shopping street.

While we were in Naples we did two tours. The first tour was Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius, it supposed to be a full day but due to scheduling it was changed to two half days which ended up working better for us. The first day we climbed Mt. Vesuvius, it was roughly a 45 min hike up the top. The next day we did a guided tour of Pompeii that around 2 hours and then they included a small lunch. For both tours, I would recommend comfy shoes, sunscreen or hat ( lots of time under direct sun), and water.

The second tour was Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi. For this tour, we did a quick stop at the Limencello Di Capri factory to taste test some limencello and use restrooms. Then we made our way to Positano for another quick stop for photos. The last stop was in Amalfi where we had lunch and then free time to explore.

In total, we spent about two & a half days in Naples and I think it was the perfect time to get a taste of the area. For the next part of our trip we went to Croatia, where we spent our time in Split and Dubvronik.
